Welcome to Open Access Week 2013 at Texas A&M University!

|What you can do to promote Open Access:|
|Deposit your manuscripts into OAK Trust (Texas A&M Open Access Digital Repository)|
|Apply for Texas A&M’s OAK Fund to support Open Access publishing at Texas A&M|
|Select an open access journal – use the Directory of Open Access Journals to find a title in your field and check on OA policies, OR contact the Office of Scholarly Communications for advice|
|PCL 1.124, UT Austin||12 - 1:30 pm||David Carlson, Dean of Texas A&M University Libraries, will speak about several OA topics including scholarly communications support at the TAMU Libraries, electronic theses and dissertations, the Open Access to Knowledge (OAK) Fund, and others.|
|Medical Sciences Library Lobby||3 - 5 pm||Open Access table with materials and giveaways from Open Access Publishers as well as information on open access initiatives, fair use, author’s rights, copyright, and institutional repositories etc.|
|Evans Library Lobby||3 - 5 pm||

|Cushing Memorial Library and Archives||4 - 6 pm||Wine reception honoring this year’s new faculty. Guests will have a chance to mingle with Libraries faculty to learn more about open access publishing, as well as services the Libraries provide for all faculty members.
